This trip is for every traveler
with an interest in the cultural heritage of
Vietnam. It takes you from the city of Danang,
one of Vietnam's major international ports the
and home to the Cham museum, the ancient and
picturesque town of Hoi An, once one of South-East
Asia's major international ports during the
17th, 18th and 19th centuries. From here we
will travel onto the old Imperial City of Hue
which served as Vietnam's capital under the
emperors of the Nguyen Dynasty from 1802 to
1945.

DETAIL TRIP
Day
1 : Arrive Danang -Hoian
Upon arrival at Danang you will be greeted by
our guide who will begin by escorting you on
a tour of Danang City, including the Cham Museum
where you can find out more about this ancient
but advanced civilization. After leaving Danang
we will make our way the short distance to Marble
Mountain, where there will be the opportunity
to climb to the top and admire the temples that
have a commanding view over the surrounding
district. After working up an appetite with
the climb you can make the short stroll or drive
to China beach for lunch. Following lunch we
will continue to delightful township of Hoi
An approximately 30 km away. Once at Hoi An
we will check into our hotel, followed by some
free time to explore.
Day
2 : Hoi An
Today there will be a tour to the Chinese Assembly
Halls, the Japanese Covered Bridge and Tan Ky
House. Following the tour there is free time
to discover what else Hoi An has to offer. Whether
it be in the silk shops having a new wardrobe
tailored or cycling to the beach about 6 kilometers
away, one thing is certain, you will not get
bored in this town. Tonight we will dine at
one of the many excellent restaurants located
here. (Breakfast included)
Day
3 : Hoi An
This morning we will board a boat and cruise
the waterways for a look at a ceramic craft
village and the boat building yards. For those
people interested, a trip to the My Son Cham
towers, about a hour and a half drive from Hoi
An can be arranged. Or maybe you would prefer
to relax beside the pool at the hotel or head
to the beach for a swim. One thing is for sure,
there will be final fittings to attend to at
some of the tailors shops. You will find these
businesses irresistible magnets. (Breakfast
included)
Day
4 : Hoi An-Hue
As we bid Hoi An farewell this morning we continue
our north bound journey. The destination for
today is the old imperial city of Hue about
four hours away. Along the way we will travel
over the Hai Van pass, stopping at the top to
take in the stunning views north over Lang Co
beach and south over Danang city. Our second
stop will be Lang Co beach, for coffee and refreshments,
then continuing on our way to Hue. This afternoon
we will be able to work off lunch as we board
bicycles for a tour around this fabulous city.
A visit to Hue would not be complete without
taking in attractions such as the Citadel and
the Forbidden Purple City, the Imperial Museum
and the Dong Ba market. To round off the days
activities, a visit to one of Hues many fine
restaurants to sample some of the local specialties.

Day
5 : Hue
Cruising the Perfume River is the order of the
day. This time we head out for the countryside.
Being the ancient capital, Hue is surrounded
with ancient tombs of emperors past, and a visit
to some of these tombs will be on the itinerary
for today. The ornate Minh Mangs tomb will be
the first stop. From here we will cruise back
to the eccentric Tu Ducs tomb, and discover
the life of opulence that was led by this Emperor.
With the mid day approaching, it will be time
to cover the short distance back to the Perfume
River and board our Dragon Boat. We will enjoy
lunch while cruising back down towards Hue,
stopping on the way to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda
which is considered the unofficial symbol of
Hue. This evening we will live like royalty
and have a Royal Banquet complete with full
costume and regalia. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
included)
Day
6 : Depart Hue/Danang
Today is departure day and time to bid farewell
to your guide. If you are continuing on a domestic
flight you can depart from Hue airport. For
international flights you will be transferred
back to Danang. (Breakfast included)
